CAR CARE VOUCHER AGREEMENT
Car Care Voucher is a unique maintenance plan to keep your vehicle in show room condition. Keeping your vehicle in tip top condition takes time, and costs endless amounts of money, especially those little annoying dents and scratches which over time accumulate in parking lots of shopping malls. Not to mention the eyesore of a stone chipped bonnet. Car Care Voucher is unique in the fact that we do not send you out to a panel beater in your area to have the work and or service completed. We have mobile units nationally, staffed by qualified technicians that will visit you at your place of work or at home, thereby saving you time, money and all the frustration. All the mobile units have specialised tools to ensure that all work is done in a professional manner. The Car Care Voucher entitles you to service intervals of once a month. The Car Care Voucher apply to Passenger Vehicles, SUV’s, mini busses, 4 x 4’s, Club Cabs and Double Cabs. The Car Care Voucher includes existing damage on pre-owned vehicles, which fall within the specifications of the benefits granted. We attach your voucher documentation and wish to point out that benefits are based on the specified vehicle and category relating to the benefits granted as reflected on the voucher application. The benefit limits and exclusions are clearly stated in this voucher agreement. This agreement together with any endorsement and any other information provided by you is a legal contract between you and us, so please read through these documents carefully to ensure that you understand what is expected in respect of using the Car Care Voucher and the validity of the benefits you have. If there is anything which is not clear, or should you require further information, please contact the CCV Call Centre on 0800 100 228. The official version of this document is in English only. GENERAL AGREEMENT AND DEFINITIONS In return for payment and subject to the terms and conditions stated in this agreement you are eligible for benefits as per the specifications of the category of the voucher purchased. The voucher is applicable to the specific vehicle only. Please note it remains your responsibility to ensure that the content of the agreement with its relevant terms and conditions are fully understood. 1. AmbiguityReferences to the masculine gender include the other genders and vice versa. References to the singular shall include the plural and vice versa. References to natural persons shall include juristic persons and vice versa. 2. Appointments The owner of the vehicle is required to utilise the voucher on an appointment basis only by phoning the toll free number: 0800 100 228 and following the procedures detailed further on in this document. Appointments must be made well in advance to ensure that your vehicle gets serviced within 5 working days. Failure to keep the appointment will result in the service being rescheduled for the following month providing your voucher is still valid. CCV strive to service all customers in the shortest possible time and cannot be held liable for damage that extend beyond the specifications from the date of appointment to the service date, especially damage to windscreens and headlights. 3. Commencement of Benefits You will only be entitled to utilise benefits under this agreement 30 (thirty days) after the date of your signature on the application form provided that the voucher fees have been paid by you. Existing damage that falls within the specifications of the voucher will be repaired after the 30 day “no service” period. 5. Conventional Metal Steel or Aluminium is in terms of this agreement classified as conventional metal. Plastic, fibre glass and similar materials are specifically excluded. All vehicles qualify for the voucher provided they are built from conventional metal. 6. CSI (Customer Service Index) It is expected from all serviced customers to complete and sign a CSI document provided by the technician. This document is used to improve our service levels and give regular feedback to all role players. 7. Discrepancies Should any discrepancies arise between this agreement and any literature received in connection with the Car Care Voucher by you, the definitions, conditions, exclusions, terminations, the CCV schedule and any endorsements of this agreement will govern in all cases. 8. Period of this Agreement Benefits are for 24 (twenty four) months, 48 (forty eight) months or 60 (sixty) months as specified on the Voucher at the start of this agreement. The maximum period is 60 (sixty) months. 9. Fees The single payment you must pay us for benefits under the Car Care Voucher. 10. Fee Payment All fees are payable in advance for the option chosen (24, 48 or 60 months) and must be paid upfront on inception of the voucher. 11. Incorrect Calculation of Fees In the event that the fees actually paid to CCV is incorrect so that it is in fact insufficient to pay for the benefits as set forth in the Voucher Proposal and Schedule then: a. written notification thereof shall be sent by us to you and the Dealership involved (if applicable); b. the error may be corrected and subject to payment of the additional fees, the full benefits will be maintained; or c. if no adjustment is effected within 30 days of the date of the original proposal as reflected in the proposal and schedule, CCV’s liability shall be reduced by the ratio which the shortfall of the fees bears to the total payment due. 12. Refund and Cancellation of FeesCancellation due to poor workmanship will be granted on a pro rata basis provided the correct procedures have been followed. The refund will be calculated in accordance with CCV’s rates, which vary from time to time. No refund shall be paid if any benefit has been processed under the agreement, or if the refund due is less than R200. If the maintenance plan was financed the pro rata refund will be credited to your credit agreement via the Dealership involved. We may cancel the Voucher at any time, giving 30 (thirty) days written notice (or such other period as may be mutually agreed) to your last known address or by you giving immediate notice. On cancellation by you, we shall be entitled to retain the customary short period or minimum fees for the period the voucher has been in force. On cancellation by us, you shall be entitled to apply for a pro-rata proportion of the fee paid for the remainder of the period of the voucher from the date of cancellation. 13. Recording calls We may record our telephonic conversations. We do this to: • provide a record of the instructions we have received from you; • allow us to monitor quality standards; • help us with staff training; and • meet legal and regulatory requirements. All communications and documents will be in English unless otherwise agreed. 14. Rights Nothing contained herein shall give any rights against us to any person other than the owner of the voucher as detailed on the application. CCV reserves the right to accept or refuse an application for service, (where such an application falls outside of the specifications). 15. Transfer of Voucher The voucher is transferable on approval from CCV under the following conditions: a. The voucher is transferable to a new vehicle should the vehicle for which the voucher was issued be written-off or stolen. The remainder of the agreement will be transferred to the replacement vehicle. b. The voucher is vehicle specific and may be transferred to the new owner if sold. c. Taxes All fees payable are inclusive of all taxes at the current ruling rate. 17. Territorial Limits Benefits are limited to the Republic of South Africa. The voucher is subject to South African Law and any payment shall be in South African currency. 18. Voucher Usage The voucher is valid to be used on a once a month basis only (after the 30 days no service period), regardless if one or all of the benefits have been utilised. The voucher remains valid regardless of who was driving when the damage occurred. 19. You, your The person or entity named in the application form.
DEFINED EVENTS AND BENEFITS 1. Stone chips Each chip is in itself usually so small that people tend to overlook this kind of damage. But having stone chips repaired with the correctly matched paint can make a dramatic difference to the appearance, lifetime and value of your vehicle. Stone chips can be a major cause of rust. When rust starts, it is almost impossible to stop, so it is strongly suggested to have your stone chips repaired regularly. A stone chip is a small chip in the clear coat and top coat of the vehicle (e.g.: caused by a small stone while driving). These chips will be brushed touched by hand to match the existing colour. Exclusions: · Stone chips exceeding 5mm in diameter. · No spray painting will be done on the vehicle. 2. Scratches What is a scratch? A scratch is a single scratch to the top coat / clear coat of your vehicles paintwork not exceeding 75mm. All cars will accumulate these accidental scratches. Benefits · Minor scratches that can be concealed by means of brush touch will be repaired. · Small surface scratches that fall within the specification can be removed by polishing that specific area and not the entire vehicle. Exclusions · No scuffs or series of scratches will be repaired. · No buff and polish 3. Paint less Dent Removal (PDR) PDR removes dents and dings (e.g.: made by trolleys, other motor vehicle doors) from vehicles without affecting the original factory finish providing they are made of conventional metal. Our skilled technicians use specially designed tools to reform body metal back to its original condition. Benefits · Only dents that require this method of removal is covered by the Car Care Voucher. · Dents or Dings within the diameter of 30mm are considered repairable. · A service assessment card is provided to help you assess the damage. Exclusions · Dents or Dings where the paintwork is damaged or the metal is stretched is considered irreparable by this technique, conventional panel beating is advised. · No spray painting or panel beating will be done on vehicles. · Hail damage is not covered. 4. Windscreen chips / cracks Windscreen chips are not only unsightly, they can also impair vision. These chips often create tiny holes where water can enter the glass substrate. If the water freezes on a cold day, the water will expand and will either make the chip worse, or crack the windscreen, putting it beyond repair. Temperature fluctuations can also result in a chip that is repairable leading to the replacement of a windscreen if not tended to. It is advisable to cover all chips with a piece of clear-tape to prevent dirt and moisture entering the crevice. Benefits · A crack where the run on the windscreen is less than 100 mm in length is considered repairable. · A chip with a diameter less than 16mm or a 10c coin is considered repairable. Exclusions Any cracks or chips that exceed the specifications indicated above. 5. Tar Removal 6. Odour Removal (Once every six months) Tired of tobacco and annoying smells roaming your car without permission? Our service eliminates a variety of unwanted odours by using a Thermal fogging system. Benefits This service eliminates pet odours, mouldiness, tobacco and other unwanted smells instantly. Exclusions: Extreme odours caused by e.g.: wet carpets, dead fish, dead animals, milk spillages and rotten meat entails stripping your vehicles interior and a full valet. This cost is for the owners account. If after doing a full valet on your vehicle and there is still an odour, this service is recommended. 7. Headlight Renewal Plastic headlights will be considered renewable. Benefits: The CCV headlight renewal system enhances the look of your vehicle in less than 30 minutes. Headlights will be renewed from the outside only. Exclusions Cracks and severe damage will not be repaired. 8. 3M Scotch Guard / Leather Treatment (Once every twelve months) All seats are made either from conventional fabric or leather. The 3M Scotch Guard system is a well known product that prevents stains on your fabric seats. The Leather Treatment System protects your leather against the suns harmful UV rays, it also conditions and moisturises your vehicle’s seats. This treatment will increase the longevity of your vehicle’s interior. 9. Air-conditioner Treatment (Once every six months) Benefits: The CCV Aircon treatment system eliminates these problems and ensures your air conditioner is fully hygienic and odour free. Regular treatment of the air-conditioner system is advised. Exclusion: This benefit does not include re-gassing of the air-conditioner. 10. CCV Vehicle Management Software “VMS” · Fuel usage · Lubricant usage · Tyre usage · Services (maintenance) The system is unique in that it not only provides a total cost per kilometre, but also a record thereof. The system’s data management functions give you the ability to control costs and manage: · Driver Logs · Vehicle Logs · Insurance Records · Finance Records · Fuel Consumption · Fuel Records · Lubricant Consumption · Lubricant Records (Business & Private) · Trip History (Business & Private) · Trip Expenses (Business & Private) · Tyre Record · Service History · Toll Gate Costs (Business & Private) · Parking Costs (Business & Private) · Traffic infringement Registers (Speeding fines) · Accident Registers · Accurate costs for completing tax returns The VMS system has built in conversion calculators and provides insight regarding fuel terminology, driving behaviour and tyres. Please note that you can only download your CCV VMS after the 30 days no claim period and the activation in of the voucher has taken place. How to get your CCV VMS: Once you receive your CCV Voucher you can register on www.ccv.co.za using your voucher number. The instructions for downloading the CCV VMS can also be found on our website. 12. Complementary wash and vacuum After every repair done, your vehicle will be washed outside, vacuumed and cleaned inside, plus your tyre’s will be polished. Condition of this service: This is a complimentary service, and is only applicable when a valid application for service as provided in the voucher is processed.
APPLICATION FOR SERVICE PROCESS
You will be provided with a CCV service assessment card at the inception of this agreement, which forms part of the documentation provided to you. The service assessment card has the necessary measurement tool and details to assist you in making your application. Only valid applications will be entertained. All applications for service must be logged with the CCV call centre, toll free on 0860 100 228. Please note that any benefits to the CCV voucher can only be claimed or applied for after formal activation of the voucher at CCV Head Office. How to apply: 1. Before contacting our call centre ensure that your vehicles damage falls within the service assessment card’s specifications. 2. Once you are sure that the application falls within the specification, take two or three photos of the damaged area which is required by CCV when you log/register your application. 3. Contact the CCV call centre on the toll free number 0800 100 228, and provide them with your voucher number which is required to log/register the application (to validate your voucher). 4. Once you have logged a call with the call centre a SMS will be sent to your mobile phone containing your application reference number, a call centre cell number and an e-mail address. 5. SMS or e-mail the photos of the damage to the contact details provided and use the application reference number as the subject title. This is to ensure your application can be assessed and processed efficiently. 6. Once your application has been assessed, you will be sent a SMS to notify you if your application was approved or declined. 7. On approval of an application CCV will contact you to set up an appointment (the date and time) for your vehicle to be repaired. 8. You will be sent a reminder via SMS 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment. 9. In the event that you need to reschedule or cancel the appointment, please advise CCV’s call centre well in advance. Refer to General Agreement and Definitions, (point 2 - Appointments). 10. The CCV mobile units’ technician will also validate the application, and will only perform work according to the CCV brochure and service assessment card.
