Stone chips
- Each chip is in itself usually so small that people tend to overlook this kind of damage. But having stone chips repaired with the correctly matched paint can make a dramatic difference to the appearance, lifetime and value of your vehicle. Stone chips can be a major cause of rust. When rust starts, it is almost impossible to stop, so it is strongly suggested to have your stone chips repaired regularly.
- A stone chip is a small chip in the clear coat and top coat of the vehicle (Eg caused by a small stone while driving).
- These chips will be brushed touched by hand to match the existing colour.
- No spray painting will be done on the vehicle.
- Stone chips not exceeding 5mm in diameter are considered repairable.
Scratches
- What is a scratch? A scratch is a single scratch to the top coat / clear coat of your vehicles paintwork not exceeding 75mm.
- All cars will accumulate these accidental scratches. Minor scratches that can be concealed by means of brush touch will be repaired.
- No scuffs or series of scratches will be repaired.
- No buff and polish
- Small surface scratches that fall within the specification can be removed by polishing that specific area and not the entire vehicle.
Paint less Dent Removal (PDR) eg. made by trolleys, other motor vehicle doors
- PDR removes dents and dings from vehicles without affecting the original factory finish providing they are made of conventional metal. Our skilled technicians use specially designed tools to reform body metal back to its original condition.
- Only dents that require this method of removal is covered by our vouchers.
- Dents or Dings within the diameter of 30mm are considered repairable.
- No spray painting or panel beating will be done on vehicles.
- Hail damage is not covered.
- A claim assessment card is provided to help you asses the damage.
- Dents or Dings where the paintwork is damaged or the metal is stretched is considered irreparable by this technique, conventional panel beating is advised
Windscreen chips / cracks
- Windscreen chips are not only unsightly, they can also impair vision. These chips often create tiny holes where water can enter the glass substrate. If the water freezes on a cold day, the water will expand and will either make the chip worse, or crack the windscreen, putting it beyond repair.
- Temperature fluctuations can also result in a chip that is repairable leading to the replacement of a windscreen if not tended to.
- A crack where the run on the windscreen is less than 100 mm in length is considered repairable.
- A chip with a diameter less than 16mm or a 10c coin is considered repairable.
- It is advisable to cover all chips with a piece of selo-tape to prevent dirt and moisture entering the crevice.
Tar Removal
- Tar on your vehicle results in your vehicle always looking tardy irrespective of how many times you wash it. Tar in general is quite difficult and almost impossible to remove. CCV’s technicians are fully trained and equipped with specialised equipment to remove Tar from your vehicle without damaging the paintwork.
Complementary wash and vacuum
- After every repair done, your vehicle will be washed outside, vacuumed and cleaned inside, plus your Tyre’s will be polished.
- This is not a stand alone service and is merely a complimentary service.
- No vehicles will receive this service without a valid claim.
